Jakob Lindner

I studied Game Art & 3D Animation at SAE Institute Vienna, followed by a BSc in Media Informatics & Visual Computing at TU Vienna, were I graduated in 2024.
I now work on a range of interactive projects, from video games to board games, taking on roles as programmer, game designer and 3D artist, with a strong focus on technical problem solving.

KittyMadness

KittyMadness was my biggest programming project so far. This custom built game was developed in a two person team, without a traditional engine, focusing on low-level graphics programming, shaders and an expandable code structure.

🏆Won first place at the Computer Graphics course at TU Vienna!

  • Graphics programming & shader implementation (OpenGL)
  • Gameplay programming (C++, Nvidia PhysX)

PhotoSheep

This game is played directly within Adobe Photoshop, built using the Photoshop scripting API. The project explores creative tool usage and was a fun experiment in building games in a non-traditional way.

🏆Won first place in the Innovation category at Ludum Dare 43!

  • Solo project (JavaScript, Photoshop)

El Burritón

For Ludum Dare 46 I assembled and led a team of six developers. Besides management, my focus for the weekend was on coding and game design. El Burritón nearly reached top 100 in the innovation category.

  • Project Lead
  • Gameplay programming (Unity, C#)
  • Game Design

DigTD

Working solo on my latest Ludum Dare entries, I challenged myself to accomplish game design, coding, art and audio all by myself in a very tight timeframe. I enjoy this rapid idea finding and fast development style.

🏆 Top 100 in the Innovation category.

  • Solo Project (Unity, C#, Aseprite)

Fallen God

My first larger game project. In a team of five, I worked on environment art, procedural level design and took my first steps into the world of programming.

  • Level Design
  • Environment Art (Maya, Speedtree)
  • Menu programming (Unity, C#)

TicketLine

A university project simulating a real client environment with strict requirements. In a team of six, we developed a ticket booking system with a full web stack. My primary role was user interaction and interface design, alongside front-end implementation.

  • Full stack development, focus on front end (Angular, Java, TypeScript, REST-API)
  • Interface and Interaction design
  • Writing and implementing user stories
